On November 27, 2025, the third Postdoctoral Academic Salon of the School of Marxism at Tsinghua University was successfully held. The session focused on the theme “Writing Policy Briefs and Key Considerations.” Dr. Yu Han, a postdoctoral researcher at the School, delivered the keynote presentation, with Associate Dean Wu Jun participating in the discussion.
In his concluding remarks, Professor Wu Jun expressed appreciation for Dr. Yu Han’s insightful report. He emphasized that policy advisory work and academic research are intrinsically linked and mutually reinforcing. Policy reports, he noted, are not only important scholarly outcomes, but also key bridges for translating theoretical research into practical solutions for social governance.
Professor Wu stressed that the ability to draft high-quality policy advisory reports is an essential skill for young scholars in Marxist theory, one that must be continuously developed throughout their academic careers. He pointed out that Dr. Yu Han’s presentation provides a valuable model for postdoctoral researchers seeking to broaden their academic horizons and enhance their overall research capacity.
Looking ahead, Professor Wu expressed the hope that postdoctoral scholars at the School will further strengthen their research capabilities, actively participate in policy advisory work, promote the transformation and application of research outcomes, and grow into young scholars who consciously shoulder social responsibility and the mission of their era.
