Tsinghua University Hosts Academic Salon for Ideological and Political Education Faculty

On the afternoon of November 17, Tsinghua University held an academic salon for ideological and political education faculty in the conference room of Building 2. Party Secretary Qiu Yong met with faculty members from the School of Marxism to review mid-term progress on research projects related to ideological and political courses.

Qiu Yong fully affirmed the achievements of the research teams and expressed appreciation for their dedication and hard work. He stressed that ideological and political courses are pivotal for fulfilling the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, and that delivering high-quality ideological and political courses is not only the responsibility of faculty members, but also an important academic criterion for them.

He Jianyu, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, outlined how the research team’s findings have been applied to course reform in ideological and political education and to instructor evaluation. Associate Professor Wu Qimin reported on the overall progress of the project.

Six young faculty members then shared updates on their respective sub-projects and how their research outcomes have been integrated into teaching practice: Kuang Xiaolu, Chen Yiwen, Pan Yibo, Chen Xiaoyi, Lang Kun, Che Zongkai. Their reports highlighted the integration of research findings into course instruction, advancing the practical development of ideological and political education.
