Guilin Summit on Collaborative Innovation in Core Socialist Values Successfully Held
To thoroughly explore the theoretical implications, contemporary characteristics, and practical pathways of contemporary Chinese Marxist values, and to advance theoretical innovation and value guidance in adapting Marxism to China’s context and the needs of the times, the “Guilin Summit on Collaborative Innovation in Core Socialist Values—Academic Symposium on Contemporary Chinese Marxist Values” was held in Guilin on November 8. The event was jointly organized by the Collaborative Innovation Center for Core Socialist Values, the Tsinghua University Center for University Moral Education Research (a Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education), and Guangxi Normal University.
More than 100 participants attended, including experts, scholars, and faculty and student representatives from over 50 universities and research institutions such as Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Lanzhou University, the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, Southwest University, Northeast Normal University, Jinan University, Hebei University, and Shanghai Normal University. Representatives from publications including Guide to Ideological and Theoretical Education, Research on Marxist Theory Discipline, Research on Socialist Core Values, Social Scientist, and China Education Daily were also present.
Launched in 2016 by the Collaborative Innovation Center for Core Socialist Values and the Tsinghua University Center for Higher Education Moral Education Research (a Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education), the Core Socialist Values Collaborative Innovation Summit has been held for 10 sessions to date. It has built a national exchange platform for the research and collaborative innovation of Core Socialist Values.
